The Showing Was A Complete Success
I want to thank everyone for their supportive mental thoughts and good will. Whatever it was that you all did, it worked.

Friday, January 6th, Oz's Lion was shown to an audience of 55 people. The audience was comprised of about 55 people about half of which were cast and crew the other half being friends and family of the cast and crew. I would guesstimate that there were about 5 total strangers to the whole thing in the audience.

Our host at the Media Co-op, Morgan Fox introduced me and thanked ManyHands Films for bringing it round to them.

I said a few words of thanks to all the cast and crew and especially Stephen and Dave and even more especially Michelle. I was kind of nervous but it went ok.

Wow. People laughed at the funny parts and watched intently at the dramatic parts. What more can you ask?

Of course, no one came up afterwards and said, "That sucked!" Everyone was quite complimentary. A lot of people were completely blown away that we didn't get into any festivals. I just shrugged and said, "Whattyagonnado?"

Anticipation was high for the next project which I spoke of after the showing. There were some really lovely comments from people in the vein of "If this is just your first movie...!"

It was a wonderful night with lots of great memories and I can't wait to start rolling on the next one.

For those of you who are interested (I hope that means everyone) please purchase a copy of Oz's Lion.

The first 25 copies will be autographed in the hopes that they will someday be much sought after collector's items.

Thank you for your support of independent film.

DVD Cleared At Media Co-op
I took the movie over there to make sure the dvd wouldn't flake out in the player. We let it run for a couple of minutes and then flipped down the channels.

Let's cross our fingers.

IndieMemphis Declines Oz's Lion
More to come.

New Orleans Film Festival
Looks like that is not going to be happening. I'm totally bummed about the whole New Orleans catastrophe.

I hope they figure out how to fix it up soon so people can start re-building their lives.

Black Snake Moan
Craig Brewer's having an open casting call for his film, Black Snake Moan, downtown at the Pyramid today. The city is letting him use the Pyramid for what is basically a studio in order to get his production dollars in here in Memphis.

That's very exciting news.

I'm going to go down there and audition and just generally see the operation. I get confidence from watching others and making sure they're not doing anything I can't do.

Nothing Heard From Fesitivals
As I've stated before, it'll be September before we hear anything on whether or not we have been accepted anywhere.
